What are the 5 very common problems!

Foot problems like bunions, corns and blisters can be reduced due to poorly fitting shoes.

Onions

Bunions are a bony bump that develops on the joint at the base of your big toe. Bunions, small bunions, form on the joint of your little toe. When the bones at the front of your foot move, a bunion can form. Tight, narrow shoes can cause bunions, and they can also create bunions. The shape of your foot, a foot deformity, or one of many medical conditions can also cause bunions. For example, people with arthritis often end up with bunions.

Arthritis

Arthritis is a more difficult foot condition to identify. Arthritis refers to inflammation or swelling of one or more joints. There are over 100 conditions that affect the joint, joint tissues, and other connective tissues. Depending on the type of arthritis, different symptoms will appear. Typically, arthritis includes joint pain and stiffness.

The most common types of arthritis are osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis. Other arthritic or related disorders include gout, lupus, scleroderma, and many others.

Diabetic neuropathy

We have many clients who suffer from diabetes. Diabetic neuropathy is nerve damage that can occur if you have diabetes. The high blood sugar (glucose) caused by diabetes can injure nerves throughout the body. The legs and feet are often the most damaged by diabetic neuropathy. The four main types of diabetic neuropathy are peripheral, autonomic, proximal, and mononeuropathy. Your symptoms depend on which types you have and which nerves are affected.

Heel spur

Heel spurs are another type of foot problem that affects the bones. A heel spur occurs when a calcium deposit causes a bony protrusion at the bottom of the heel bone. It usually takes several months for the calcium to build up and create a heel spur. They can occur from repeated tearing of the membrane that covers the heel bone, stretching of the plantar fascia and foot muscles, and ligament strain.

Plantar fasciitis

Heel spurs are commonly associated with plantar fasciitis. When the bands of fibrous connective tissue (plantar fascia) that run along the bottom of the foot and connect the heel bone to the sole of the foot become inflamed, it is called plantar fasciitis. Most of the time, plantar fasciitis develops for no particular reason. There are factors, such as a new increased activity, obesity, flat feet, or repetitive high-impact activity, that can make you more likely to develop the condition. Common symptoms of plantar fasciitis include pain in the bottom of the foot near the heel, pain after getting out of bed, or a lot of pain after exercise or activity.

Any of these foot problems can add unwanted pain to your daily activities. A doctor should always diagnose any foot problems you are experiencing. Once you know your foot pain, the right shoe can help relieve some of the symptoms.
